Welcome to the 2022 PVYBL Winter League!

Dear Parents and Volunteers!

Thank you for participating in the PVYBL 2022 Winter League. If you are new to PVYBL, welcome! If you are a returning family, welcome back!

Support from the community has been both amazing and humbling once again. Over 1,500 kids have enrolled to play this season. Included in this total are nearly 400 girls. Both numbers set new records for organized, recreational basketball in Palos Verdes!

During the past month, more than 300 of our background-checked, volunteer coaches and division coordinators have been busy preparing the 162 teams in 17 divisions for the start of the season. You should be hearing from one of them in the next 2 weeks, if not already.

For new players, their high-quality, personalized, and reversible uniforms will be distributed by the coaches. Not only do they look awesome, they are reusable in future seasons. All players and coaches will receive a commemorative, limited-edition pin to add to their collection. In addition, every Lower Division player will receive a pair of kneepads and all girls who enrolled before the deadline will receive a specially designed PVYBL shooting shirt.

Save the dates. Opening Day Celebration is Saturday, 12/3/22. Photo Day is Saturday, 12/17/22.

Thank you for a great season!

Dear Parents and Volunteers!

You did it! Despite the pandemic and the challenges presented by the ever-changing regulations and venue availabilities, your trust and support has helped PVYBL succeed as the only active, recreational basketball league in the South Bay for the second consecutive season, allowing over 1,100 boys and girls to enjoy the sport during the past 3 months.

We have kept our promise to stay consistent with the directives from the LA County Department of Public Health, and changed as the directives changed during the season. Thank you for putting your personal beliefs aside and showing incredible patience and understanding as we navigated the numerous obstacles to ensure a safe and fun experience for all PVYBL families.

For all the grownups who role-modelled good citizenship and sportsmanship throughout the season, thank you very much for making this truly all about the kids.

We hope to see you again next season!
